The --edf=file specifies the message description
file to use when displaying warning or error messages. The argument should be the full path
to the message file. Hexmate contains an internal copy of this file, so the use of this
option is not necessary, but you may wish to specify a file with updated contents.
The message files are located in the pic/dat directory in the installation (e.g., the English language file is called en_msgs.txt).
