The default configuration will enable the respective source when the ADC0 or AC0 is requesting a reference voltage. The default reference voltages are 0.55V but can be configured by writing to the respective Reference Select (ADC0REFSEL, DAC0REFSEL) bit field in the Control A (VREF.CTRLA) register.
