Before introducing the new features, it is necessary to have an overview of the different sleep modes available in SAM L21. In addition to Active mode there are four different sleep modes in SAM L21. For typical sleep mode wakeup times, see the "Wake-up Time" section in the "Electrical Characteristics" chapter in the datasheet.
