It is required to use AVR Studio® 4.12 or later in order to use the Atmel AVRISP mkII. Latest version of the Atmel Studio can be found at www.atmel.com/tools/atmelstudio.aspx.
Atmel Studio and the USB driver must be installed before the AVRISP mkII is connected to the computer.
