Connections

Once the hardware modifications have been made, connect the MPLAB ICE 4 to the target by connecting the MPLAB ICE 4 target cable assembler into the populated ICSP header on the PIC32MX470 Curiosity board.

Todo: Plug one end of the high-speed cable into the 40-pin connector on the emulator unit. Plug the other end into the MPLAB ICE 4 ICSP Adapter board. Connect the 8-pin SIL connector on the adapter board into the target board ICSP header. Ensure that the header pin 1 goes into the first socket of the SIL connector, as below.

In order to measure the current consumed by the target, current from an external source will need to pass through the emulator current sense A pins to the 5V external power header on the target board.

Todo: The power supply connects to the current sense connector CS+ A and GND. Then CS- A is connected to the + pin of the 5V header. The - pin will connect back to a current sense GND pin.
