Several of the Atmel security devices, including CryptoAuthentication devices like the ATECC108A, requires only an I2C interface to work, and they share the same packages and pinouts. SAM C21 Xplained Pro has implemented SOIC8 and UDFN8 footprints for these devices so the user may solder them on themselves. Table 1 shows all the connections between the footprints and the ATSAMC21J18A.
