6 Getting More Assistance
If the problem persists, some of the technical support options available are:
- If a Microchip Embedded Solutions Engineer (ESE) is assigned, reach out to them directly for assistance
- For developer help, see https://microchipdeveloper.com/
- For AVR-specific crowd-sourced help, ask questions on AVR Freaks®: https://www.avrfreaks.net/
- For crowd-sourced (PIC and AVR microcontrollers) community assistance, set up a post on the Microchip Forums: https://www.microchip.com/forums/
- A ticket for Microchip technical support can be created here: https://microchipsupport.force.com/
Of the web-based options, the forums are usually the faster solution for simple problems. However, the advice provided by the community is not official.
A ticket for technical support is more in-depth - the ticket goes to the case team, consisting of a Microchip Support Engineer and internal Microchip teams. If relevant, other companies and persons can be added to support tickets as well.
