2.6 TDES Algorithm
Triple Data Encryption Algorithm (TDES) is a symmetric key block cipher proposed in 1981, which applies the DES cipher algorithm three times to each data block. DES key size is 56 bit and 8 bits of error-detection So key size for TDES is (56+8) 3 = 643 = 192 bits (24 bytes). Usually, three keys are generated using 24 bytes.
