7.2 Power Domain Constraints
The PIC32CK SG/GC power domains are not independent of each other:
- Refer to the Power, Ground, and Voltage Reference Pinout I/O Descriptions to understand which pins are tied together.
- VDDIO and VDDREG share VDD. VSSIO and VSSCORE share GND. Ideally, they can be connected together outside of this device.
- VDDREG can be used as a low-voltage input to the main regulators, such as 1.8v < VDDREG < AVDD.
- AVDD has its own power and ground, AVSS.
- VDDF has its own power and ground, VSSF.
- VDDREG powers internal regulators that, in turn, power internal domains, such as VDDCORE_SW, VDDCORE_RAM, and VDDCORE_BU.
The maximum supply falling and rising rates of the different power supplies must not exceed the values described in the “Power Supply Characteristics” section of the Electrical Characteristics chapter.
