5.1 Configuring Time Aware Shaper using Web GUI

To configure the Time Aware Shaper, perform the following steps:

  1. To configure PTP 802.1AS, see Configuring a PTP Clock Instance using Web GUI.
  2. Click VLANs > Configuration, the Global VLAN Configuration page opens. In the Mode list, click Hybrid for both the ingress and the egress ports (see the following figure).

  3. Click Save.
  4. Click QOS > Port Classification. The QoS Port Classification page opens.
  5. To enable the port, find the required port under the Tag Class column and click Disabled; this will switch it to Enabled (see the following figure).

  6. Enable Tag Classification on the Egress port.

  7. Click Save.
  8. Click TSN > TAS > Ports. The TAS Configuration Parameters page opens.

  9. To set the GCL Length, type a suitable number in the GCL Length text box.
  10. To set the cycle time, type appropriate values in the Value, Unit, and Extension, ns text boxes.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Under GCL, click Configure. The GCL Configuration page opens.

  13. To set the gate state and time interval, select the appropriate check boxes and type a suitable value in the nanoseconds text box (see the following figure).
  14. Click Save.
  15. Click Back, the TAS Configuration Parameters page opens.

  16. To enable TAS, select the Enabled check box.
  17. To perform config change, select the Config Change check box.
  18. Click Save.
