1.7 Configuring an End-to-End Transparent Clock using Web GUI

To configure an end-to-end transparent clock, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Configuration > PTP.
  2. Click Add New PTP Clock.
  3. Configure the following properties:
    1. HW Domain = 0
    2. Device Type = P2pTransp
    3. Profile = 1588

  4. Click Save.
  5. In the PTP External Clock Mode page (see the following figure), click the Clock Instance link. The PTP Clock’s Port Configuration and Status page opens.
  6. Configure the following properties:
    1. Under the Port Enable and Configuration area, select the suitable ports.
    2. From the 2 Step Flag list, click TRUE.
    3. In the Pri1 box, type a lower number than the PTP slave.

  7. Click the Port Configuration link. The PTP Clock’s Port Data Set Configuration page opens.
  8. In the Dlm box, click e2e, and then click Save.

  9. Ensure that the Slave State column is set to FREERUN in the Clock Current DataSet table.
