Bits 7:0 – ADDR[7:0] Address
The Client Address (TWIn.SADDR) register is used by the client address match
logic to determine if a host device has addressed the TWI client. If an address
packet is received, the Address or Stop Interrupt Flag (APIF) and the Address or
Stop (AP) bit in the Client Status (TWIn.SSTATUS) register are set to
‘1
’.
The upper seven bits (ADDR[7:1]) of the TWIn.SADDR register represent the main client address.
The TWIn.SADDR register's Least Significant bit (ADDR[0]) is used for recognition
of the General Call Address (0x00) of the I2C protocol. This feature
is enabled when this bit is set to ‘1
’.
