3.1 Backup Self-Refresh (BSR) mode does not work
In BSR mode, the SAMA5D2 Series data sheet specifies the need for a 100K pull-down resistor on the DDR_CKE signal (see the Signal Description List table in the data sheet). However, in SAMA5D2 SiP devices, this signal is not routed to any package ball; therefore, it cannot be pulled low as required.
Work around
- ULP1 mode may be a valid alternative since the core power consumption of SAMA5D2 Series devices may be acceptable. Refer to the Electrical Characteristics section in the SAMA5D2 Series data sheet for more information.
- Use a chip-down version with the MPU and DDR mounted on the application PCB.
