6 ATA8510/15 EEPROM Configuration Tool

  • The EEPROM Configuration Tool, along with the definition of the EEPROM content for the Radio Frequency (RF) transceiver devices of the ATA8510/15 family, enables users to generate the configuration data file required for EEPROM programming.
  • The EEPROM memory within the ATA8510/15 device family stores the configuration settings. Program this memory with configuration data to support the operation of the ROM firmware or Flash application software. If applicable, an external host controller controls the operation of the ATA8510/15 device via an SPI communication interface.
  • The EEPROM Configuration Tool generates and exports a *.hex file, which is used in conjunction with standard AVR programming tools for direct EEPROM programming of the ATA8510/15 device family. The configuration data can also be stored as an *.xml file to facilitate future changes to the configuration.
  • By starting the GUI, the tool loads the default settings from the file ATA8510/15_Default.xml, which is delivered together with the tool.
  • The EEPROM configuration tool includes the following tabs:
    • Start tab
    • System Init tab
    • Services tab
    • Services (2) tab
    • Events tab
    • IO Ports tab
    • Polling tab
    • Customer tab

For more information on the settings of different configuration tabs, refer to the ATA8510 Configuration Tool Guide (DS00004203).
