3.1 Hardware

The SAMA5D27-SOM1 is a small, single-sided Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that contains the ARM Cortex-A5 ATSAMA5D27C-D1G-CU System-in-Package (SIP 1Gb DDR2 memory), together with components for power management, non-volatile boot memory and an Ethernet PHY.

The main components of the SAMA5D27-SOM1 are:

• SAMA5D2 SIP (SAMA5D27 and DDR2 1 Gbit): ATSAMA5D27C-D1G
• Power Management IC, supporting Single 3.3V Supply Operation: MIC2800-G1JJYML.
• 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet PHY: KSZ8081RNAIA
• 1 Kb Serial EEPROM with EUI-48™ Node Identity (MAC address): 24AA02E48T-I/OT.
• 64 Mb Serial Quad I/O Flash Memory: SST26VF064BT-104I/MF
• 103 IOs
• Optional metallic shield
