11.1.11.3.2 Power Consumption in Idle and Ultra Low-Power Modes
- Table 11-79, Figure 11-56 and Figure 11-57 provide the SAMA7D6 average power consumption in Idle, ULP0 and ULP1 modes versus temperature measured on a few typical devices. They do not provide maximum power consumption specifications.
- All power supply inputs are powered within their operating range and in particular VDDCORE = 1.05V, VDDCPU = 1.05V.
- There is no consumption on the device I/Os. To reach the best possible power consumption figures, it is important to set each I/O of the device to an appropriate state (pull-up/pull-down, etc.) with respect to the external components connected to these I/Os.
- In ULP1, the embedded memories are automatically switched to Deep Sleep mode (default operation, see Embedded Memories Low-Power Management). In ULP0, this is not the case.
- USB transceivers are disabled.
- All peripheral clocks are disabled.
- Current measurement is as shown in the following figure.

The figures below plot the power consumption of the device in ULP0, ULP1 and Idle modes. They show the current consumption in VDDCPU, VDDCORE and VDDIN33:
Power (mW) = IDDCPU x 1.05V + IDDCORE x 1.05V + PIN33 with IDDCPU and IDDCORE as measured in the above table. PIN33 contribution is 2.2 mW in ULP0 and ULP1 modes and 40 mW in Idle mode (application-dependent).
The following table provides the specifications for ULP1 mode current consumption on VDDCORE, VDDCPU and VDDIN33.
