1.4 Pulse Test Constant

There are four pulse test constants:

  • P_K_t – The pulse test constant for the active energy pulse generator in Watt-hour.
  • Q_K_t – The pulse test constant for the reactive energy pulse generator in Var-hour.
  • I_K_t – The pulse test constant for the current energy pulse generator in Amp2 hour.
  • S_K_t – The pulse test constant for the apparent energy pulse generator in VA hour.

Example:

The pulse test constant is 3200 imp/kWh (or 0.3125 Wh/imp) because the metrology firmware uses uQ8.24 to represent both integer and fractional numbers; therefore, the value to set is:

P_K_t = 0.3125 * 224 = 0x00500000
