This example demonstrates how to use the integrated OP AMP for Automatic Gain Control (AGC). AGC is commonly used in situations where a signal displays a large dynamic range, such as audio applications (e.g., whispering vs. shouting). While this example uses only two gain settings for simplicity, the integrated resistor ladder has eight settings (shown below) and an additional option for unity gain (gain of 1). If desired, use the external components to implement custom gains.
