5 Network Interface Configuration

To manage and configure the network properties of the LAN8670, the “ethtool” command line utility is used.

Important: The “ethtool” version should be 6.7 or later, since older versions do not support PLCA settings.

In this test, “ethtool” version 6.11 is used.

  1. Check the “ethtool” version of your Linux kernel image.

    $ ethtool --version
