1 Introduction

The Microchip WINCS02 Wi-Fi® Module provides plug-and-play solution to enable Wi-Fi and IoT Cloud connectivity in existing designs. These modules are designed to reduce development time by offering Wi-Fi drivers and service APIs over an SPI interface, showcasing their features and capabilities. The WINCS02 manages all Wi-Fi and IoT cloud functionalities, simplifying the development and evaluation of its capabilities.

The WINCS02 Add-On Board is an efficient, low-cost development platform for evaluating and demonstrating the features and functionality of Microchip’s low-power Wi-Fi WINCS02 Module. Compliant with the mikroBUS™ Standard, the Add-On Board can be easily plugged into the host board and controlled by a Host Microcontroller Unit (MCU) through Wi-Fi drivers and service APIs over SPI.
