48.10 Coexistence Interface

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi partly operate in the same 2.4 GHz band. Therefore, transmissions can interfere with each other and impact the performance and reliability of the wireless systems. The Coexistence Interface is built from a 3-wire bus that mutually signalizes RF activity when Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chips are available in the same hardware module. Interference can, thus, be avoided. The three pins are BT_STATE, RF_ACT and WLAN_ACT which can be set through PPS. See Peripheral Pin Select (PPS) from Related Links.
