18.4 TRISxyPPS Register
The TRISxy Source Selection (TRISxyPPS) registers can be used to override the corresponding PORT Tristate (TRISx) register bits, allowing selected CLB PPS outputs to control the direction of a selected pin.
When the Pin xy PPS Tristate Control Selection (TRISxnPPS) bits are clear, the corresponding TRISxy bit controls the
tristate/output of the PORTxy pin. When the TRISxnPPS bits have a value between 'b0001
- 'b1000, the corresponding CLB PPS Output Enable controls the direction of the
PORTxy pin.
Important: The TRISxyPPS registers are limited to one PORT
based on device pin count as shown in the table below. For example, PORTA is available for
8-pin devices.
