2.2.5 External Reset and MCLR Reset
This type of reset is triggered by the MCLR or RESET line being pulled low. This type of reset is frequently triggered by a push button, programmers, or an external watchdog circuit.
Note: On some devices the
RESET or MCLR lines can be used as a GPIO
(set by fuses or Configuration bits), disabling the normal functionality. This pin may
have limitations on its operation, such as being input only. See the device data sheet
for specifics.
