14.22.6 Offline Actions

Some customers may want to use packs offline, that is, disable checking the pack database from the internet. This is accomplished by adding the option -J-Dmicrochip.connect=false to the mplab_ide.conf file or as an argument to MPLAB X IDE startup.

In this mode some actions are not available:

  • Install (except for Install Pack from Local Source)
  • Update or Check for Updates
  • For DFPs, device Datasheet and Product Page links
