3 Hardware Setup

The example in this application note is written for the ATtiny817 Xplained Mini, which features the ATtiny817 device, but the example applies to all devices in the tinyAVR 1-Series. The example is available through Atmel | START. Refer to Get Source Code from Atmel | START for further information.

In this application note, the onboard LED, LED0, is used to give a visual indication of the CRCSCAN status, and it has the following connection to ATtiny817 (also shown in the figure below):
  • LED0 is connected between PC0 and GND
