Total Power Dissipation

The total power dissipation of an IC is the sum of the power consumed by each power supply(1)(2) and it can be divided into two parts:

  1. 1.Refer to the table “Power Supply Inputs” in the Electrical Characteristics section of the SAMA7G5 Series data sheet for a supply rail list.
  2. 2.When counting the power consumed in a power supply, care should be taken to subtract any power transmitted to an external component that does not contribute to the “on-die” dissipation.
