1 PHY Architecture

The standalone IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and PHY stack architecture follows the layered approach and it is depicted in the following figure.

The main stack components are as follows:

1. PAL Layer (Platform Abstraction Layer)
2. PHY Layer (Physical Layer as Library)
3. MAC Layer (MAC Core Layer including MAC APIs)
