5 Conclusion

This technical brief provided an overview of LCD bias generation and contrast control using the internal charge pump found on the PIC16F19197, along with other parts in this device family. The LCD charge pump makes this family of devices very well suited for battery powered LCD applications and allows users to maintain lower power consumption while being able to meet the drive requirements of their LCD panel.
