4.3 On-Board Debugger Implementation

ATmega4809 Curiosity Nano features an on-board debugger that can be used to program and debug the ATmega4809 using UPDI. The on-board debugger also includes a virtual serial port (CDC) interface over UART and debug GPIO. Both MPLAB® X IDE and Atmel Studio 7 can be used as a front-end for the on-board debugger for programming and debugging. MPLAB Data Visualizer can be used as a front-end for the CDC and debug GPIO.
