4.2 Hardware/Bench Setup and DUT Connections

Users are encouraged to follow the recommended setup and connection instructions for safe operation. For testing this reference design in Buck mode, the connections are shown in the diagram below. For safe operation, it is recommended to connect the baseplate to PE so the DUT is not floating. Do not touch any parts of the system while the system is live.

It is highly recommended to keep PC ground isolated from the DUT, therefore, an Isolated CAN dongle should be used. The PCAN-USB-FD PEAK dongle was used for lab testing.
