The SAMA5D27-SOM1 Linux additional features provide important initialization and configuration elements in AT91Bootstrap and the device tree. These elements permit an easier and safer Linux configuration process.

In addition to the Microchip Linux for SAMA5D2, the SAMA5D27-SOM1 Linux distribution provides the features listed below:

• AT91Bootstrap includes initialization code for the DRAM included in the SIP and the clocks included in the SOM.
• The device tree database includes the full SOM hardware description.
