1.2 Secure SAM-BA Cipher
Secure SAM-BA Cipher is used to:
- generate a license request file,
- encrypt and sign a customer key,
- encrypt and sign a root CA hash,
- encrypt and sign a program for use as a bootstrap (decrypted and checked at run time by the ROM code),
- encrypt and sign a program for use as an application (decrypted and checked at run time by the bootstrap).
Secure SAM-BA Cipher generates the encrypted and authenticated files required to operate the following devices in Secure mode:
- SAMA5D2 Series
- SAMA5D3 Series
- SAMA5D4 Series
- SAM9X60
- SAM9X7 Series
- SAMA7G5 Series
- SAMA7D6 Series
A license file is required for the following devices to encrypt the customer key and the root CA hash:
- SAMA5D2 Series
- SAMA5D3 Series
- SAMA5D4 Series
- SAM9X60
- SAMA7G5 Series
