1.2 Zero-Cross Detector (ZCD)

The ZCD module detects when an A/C signal crosses through a ZCD threshold. It features interrupt generation on rising edge, falling edge or on both edges, which aids users with effective utilization of the module for detecting zero-crossings of the A/C phases.

The ZCD module is useful when monitoring an A/C waveform for, but not limited to, the following purposes:

• A/C period measurement
• Accurate long-term time measurement
• Dimmer phase delayed drive
• Low Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) cycle switching
