This application note aims to provide an overview of the topology discovery mechanism supported by the 10BASE‑T1S technology. The limitations and system requirements for this application will be shown. Upon completion, the reader will understand the basic workings of topology discovery, how to start the topology discovery process, what the nodes on the network do during this process, and how to read the results given by the measuring device.
