2.2 Connectors
The connectors on the driver board are highlighted in the following figure.
- CN1 and CN2:
- Both CN1 and CN2 implement the main power supply interface, each one can be used as an input interface or output interface. In a separate power supply mode, either CN1 or CN2 can be used. In a shared power supply mode, one connector should be used as the input and the other one as the output.
- The rated current of CN1 and CN2 is 40A (peak value) and 20A (RMS). In shared power supply mode, the entrance connector is responsible to supply the current for the other driver boards.
- Therefore a separate power supply mode is preferred if any driver board needs large current handling
- J5:
The following interfaces are implemented by J5:
- Driver power supply input
- PWM input
- DC bus voltage output
- Back EMF output
- Phase current sample output
- DC bus current sample output
- CON1:
- The motor power output interface (motor phase terminals) is implemented by CON1
