1.2 SAM-BA® ISPP ROM Code Console

The ROM code console — also referred to as the debug console, target console, applet console, or simply console — is a serial communication port (typically, a UART) on the target device. It interfaces with a terminal emulation program running on the host computer and provides status output from the operating system, as well as debug information from utility programs, including SAM-BA applets.
