Introduction

The Libero® system-on-chip (SoC) unified design suite is Microchip’s flagship FPGA software for designing with Microchip’s latest power-efficient flash FPGAs, SoC FPGAs, and Rad-tolerant FPGAs. The suite integrates industry-standard Synopsys Synplify Pro® synthesis and Siemens ModelSim Pro ® simulation with best-in-class constraints management, debug capabilities, and secure production programming support.

Use Libero SoC for designing with Microchip's RT PolarFire and RTG4 Rad-Tolerant FPGAs, PolarFire® SoC and SmartFusion® 2 SoC FPGAs, and PolarFire and IGLOO® 2 FPGAs.

To design with older Microchip FPGA family devices, use Libero SoC v11.9 and its subsequent service packs.

To access datasheets, silicon user guides, tutorials, and application notes, visit www.microchip.com and then either navigate to the relevant product family page or click the Document Library icon to find the desired documentation.

Note: Libero SoC does not support Classic Constraint flow. IGLOO 2, SmartFusion 2, and RTG4 projects using the “Classic” flow cannot be opened in this release. For details about how to migrate Classic Constraint flow projects to the Enhanced Constraint flow, see Migrating an Existing Project Created with Classic Constraint Flow to Enhanced Constraint Flow.

1 Download Libero SoC Software

You can download the latest version of Libero SoC Design Suite and related software from the Libero® SoC Design Suite 12.x and Later Versions page.

Important: Administrative privileges are required for installing the latest version of Libero SoC Design Suite software on the Windows operating system.

2 Download Release Notes

You can use the following table to access PDF versions of the Libero SoC Release Notes. Click a document title to view the PDF file (requires an Internet connection). PDF files can be opened in most modern browsers, though they may lack some features. We recommend that you download a PDF reader to open the PDF files.

You can also download the Libero SoC Unified Release Notes (HTML version) and refer to it offline.
