3.3.2 VEML3328 Color Sensor

A VEML3328 RGBCIR Color sensor is mounted on the AVR-IoT Cellular Mini board for measuring red, green, blue, clear and IR light. The sensor uses photodiodes, amplifiers and analog/digital circuitry to sense differences in color temperature and brightness.

Additional features:
  • 16-bit resolution for each channel (R, G, B, C, and IR)
  • Temperature compensation: -40°C to +85°C
  • Operation voltage range: 2.6V to 3.6V
  • Operating Current: 580 μA (typical)
  • Shutdown Current: 800 nA (typical)
The VEML3328 color sensor is connected to the AVR128DB48 through an 1.8V I2C bus.
Info: The 7-bit I2C address is: 0x10.
