3.2 PAL Timer Configuration

This section describes the SYS TIME Module Configuration for the PAL Timer.

The SYS TIME module is configured in the TICK-LESS mode for PAL Timer usage. In the Tick-less mode, instead of getting interrupted from the hardware timer periodically, the Time System Service manages the hardware timer so as to generate an interrupt only when required and at appropriate times

The PLIB used for SYS Time module can be changed to any other Timer instance. Timer configuration is illustrated in the following figure.
