2.1 Curiosity Nano Quick Start

Steps to start exploring the Curiosity Nano platform:
  1. Assemble the pin headers on each side of the socket for the Curiosity Nano microcontroller board, as shown in Curiosity Nano Base for Click boards™ Mounting.
  2. Insert one of the Curiosity Nano microcontroller boards into the pin-sockets on the Curiosity Nano Base for Click boards™, as shown in Figure 3-6 and Figure 3-7.
  3. Download Microchip Studio/MPLAB® X IDE.
  4. Use Atmel START or MPLAB® Code Configurator to generate drivers and examples.
  5. Optional: Find the code examples for the Curiosity Nano microcontroller board attached to the Curiosity Nano Base for Click boards™. The code examples can be used as a base for firmware development.
  6. Write application code.
  7. Connect a USB cable (Standard-A to Micro-B or Micro-AB) between the computer and the USB port on the Curiosity Nano microcontroller board.
  8. Upload the code to the Curiosity Nano microcontroller board.
Tip: The Curiosity Nano microcontroller boards are available on Curiosity Nano Development Kits on Microchip Purchasing & Client Services - Purchase one of these kits on Microchip Purchasing & Client Services.
