3.2.2 Implementation Example

The SAMA5D2 is available in multiple packages of different sizes and requirements:

To optimize performance, we recommend using the layer stack-ups, line widths and clearances in the following illustrations.

These stack-ups were selected because they can provide all the required impedances by using minimum 100 μm-wide traces.

The minimum trace width is 100 μm (~4 mil) which is standard for PCB manufacturers. This also ensures that the routing does not take much space on the board.

SAMA5D2 MPUs available in a TFBGA196 package can be implemented on a PCB with a stack-up of minimum four layers.
