Introduction

The dsPIC® Digital Power Plug-In Module (DP PIM), with minor modifications, simplifies loop gain measurements by enabling direct disturbance injection without the need for an external isolation transformer. The elimination of the isolation transformer is particularly beneficial for measuring signals at very low frequencies, such as those required for Power Factor Correction (PFC) voltage loop measurements. Isolation transformers are often problematic at low frequencies, so the ability to conduct these measurements without one simplifies the process and improves the accuracy and reliability of measurements.
