6 Getting Started with Multiprotocol Applications

The Multiprotocol applications demonstrate the capability of the PIC32CX BZ6 and PIC32WM BZ6 device. The device supports both Bluetooth® LE and ZigBee technologies in the 2.4 GHz frequency range. The software stacks handle both technologies as specified in the respective specifications. Mainly, the software stack is capable to handle both technologies together in a coexistence mode. This is recommended for users who are new to the Microchip Bluetooth LE stack and other toolchains like MPLAB Code Configurator.

These multiprotocol applications demonstrate the provisioning through Bluetooth LE for Zigbee commissioning parameters, control and monitoring the Zigbee devices from mobile apps.
