5 PIC32CM SG Memory Model and TrustZone® Configuration

The PIC32CM-SG00 microcontroller features an Arm® Cortex®-M23 core with TrustZone technology, providing hardware-enforced isolation between Secure and Non-Secure execution environments. The device offers up to 512 KB of Flash memory and up to 128 KB of SRAM, which must be partitioned between the Secure and Non-Secure regions based on application requirements.

The memory partitioning is configured through the Device Configuration bits and the Implementation Defined Attribution Unit (IDAU). The Secure region contains the trusted code including the PSA Crypto Library. The Non-Secure region hosts the main application code that accesses cryptographic services through veneer functions.
