5.1 Calibration Packet Availability during Device Lifetime
At manufacturing output, the SAMA7D6 Series devices have their Temperature Sensor Calibration data (hereafter referred to as “TSCAL data”) stored in a reserved OTP area only accessible by the ROM code. These data are made available to the application with different mechanisms corresponding to different phases of the device lifetime.
- In early development phases and prior to any user OTP programming: the TSCAL data can be read from SRAM0.
- When the device is in OTP Emulation mode, these data are available as a regular packet physically stored in the SECURAM.
- After
programming the OTP user area, i.e., once in
production, the TSCAL data are available as a
regular packet physically stored in the OTP
memory.Note: Storage of the packet to the OTP memory must be performed by the user.
In all cases, TSCAL data use the same format. Their structure is that of a regular OTP packet with the first 32-bit payload word programmed to the constant value “TSCA”. See Calibration Packet Structure.
