4.3 Sleep modes
In addition to Active mode, there are three different sleep modes, with decreasing power consumption and functionality. In Idle mode, the CPU stops executing code, but no peripherals are disabled. Also, all interrupt sources can wake the device. In Standby mode, on the other hand, the user can configure peripherals to be enabled or not; the power consumption is thus highly dependent on what functionality is enabled. In Power-Down mode, only a few peripherals are active, and there are also fewer wake-up sources. Refer to the Sleep Controller (SLPCTRL) section in the corresponding data sheet for the complete description of the sleep modes, which peripherals are active, and available wake-up sources.
