2.4 Wifi Provisioning via SoftAP
This example compiles the Wifi Provisioning via SoftAP application which is used to provision a WiFi connection.
Description
In this demonstration, the WINC Driver will advertise a SoftAP. The SoftAP connection is leveraged to provision a WiFi connection.
Downloading and building the application
To download or clone this application from Github, go to the top level of the repository
Path of the application within the repository is apps/wifi_provisioning_via_softap/firmware .
To build the application, refer to the following table and open the project using its IDE.

Setting up SAMXXX Xplained Pro board
- Connect the Debug USB port on the SAMXXX Xplained Pro board to the computer using a micro USB cable
Running the Application
- Open the project.
- Build and program the generated code into the hardware using its IDE.
- On the connected computer, launch a terminal application and configure it with the following settings: Baud Rate: 115200 Data Bits: 8 Parity: None Stop Bits: 1 Flow Control: None
- Install the android application provided with demo onto a device and use it to provision the WINC device.
