16.3 Allocation of Function Code

Code associated with C/C++ functions is normally placed in the program Flash memory of the target device. Functions may be alternatively located in and executed from RAM rather than Flash by using the __ramfunc__ or __longramfunc__ macros or the ramfunc and long_call attributes that these macros represent. Another alternative to Flash memory is to place functions in Tightly Coupled Memory on those devices if available. See Tightly-Coupled Memories for information on this memory.
