4 Using UTMR as Timer2 (TMR2) with Hardware Limit Timer (HLT)
TMR2 is an 8-bit timer with separate counter and period registers. It has Hardware Limit
Timer (HLT) capabilities based on an External Reset Source (ERS) input. TMR2
can operate in three different modes:
- Free-Running Period mode
- One-Shot mode
- Monostable mode
The following sections describe how the UTMR can be used as a TMR2 in each of the three modes.
