2 Helium Network and DeWi Alliance
The Helium Network combines a decentralized wireless infrastructure with blockchain security. The first deployment of a Helium Network is a globally distributed network of hotspots that create public long-range wireless coverage for LoRaWAN enabled IoT devices. Helium LongFi technology combines the LoRaWAN wireless protocol with Helium Blockchain technology for security. The Helium Network is currently one of the fastest growing LoRaWAN networks in the world. Additional Helium Networks, such as Helium 5G, are also in development. All Helium Networks that rely on an ECC P-256 private key that meets the ECC compact public key requirements can make use of the ECC608-TNGHNT device.
The Decentralized Wireless (DeWi) Alliance governs and maintains the Helium Blockchain and LongFi technologies. The primary focus of the DeWi Alliance is on proliferating IoT in a secure and cost-effective manner. The DeWi Alliance is a global not-for-profit entity.
As a requirement for security, the Helium Network has defined the use of a SwarmKey. The SwarmKey is a P-256 ECC private key that complies with the ECC compact public key requirements. The ECC608-TNGHNT assists in the propagation and use of this device in support of the goals of the DeWi Alliance and the Helium Network.
